Everything Old... Can be Primed and Painted Over Again!

Never a dull day around here! Kerry and I lugged out a few extension cords, a tarp and an electric sander to prime all her old canvases from Art School. She's working on a new series of paintings and rather than buying all new materials, she's being thrifty!! No use leaving all these unwanted art projects to sit around and collect dust!!

It's a gorgeous Spring Day.... no better way to spend it than being outside with my Sis! xx

There were a lot of Personal Portrait assignments. She's very happy to finally get rid of these.

We were laughing because the expression on this one fits perfectly into the situation of having her face sanded off.... right?

Things look cool at night.....

I'm getting an itchy 'shutter release finger' again! It's a good feeling! I've been neglecting my friendly little camera for too long. The good thing is... we've been reunited!

I love the dramatic effect evening light has on ordinary things.

Angles make things more interesting as well.

I took about 20 minutes to finally capture this candle the way I wanted it.

Ha. I'm sure no one thinks this is cool but me. Nerdy stuff.

A First For Everything!

If you are ending up where you want to be, what difference does it make whether you went fast or slow? Or what difference does it make whether it was painful before it got really good? Isn't that the point of free will? You get to choose.

Good morning!!

Today I'm teaching my first Hot Yoga class! It's free, it's to my friends, and it's in a cold room.... doesn't make a difference to me. I want to practice so I can get better. Looking forward to it!

But first..... I've got an 8am dentist appointment..... am I looking forward to that? Hmmm......

Let me see how many cavities I've got and I'll get back to ya.

Dinner Date - Vegan Style

Oh! What might we be making here??

After a too long hiatus from friendship, the Jennys finally managed co-ordinate their lives and their day planners for a much enjoyed evening of wine-age and dine-age.

Duffy brought the wine and I took on the challenge of making something Vegan (AND tasty) and decided to make a Coconut Vegetable Curry with Tofu dish on brown Basmati rice. Simple recipe, VERY easy to prepare, and quite delicious as well!! One disappointment - although I used brightly coloured veggies, once cooked, it ended up looking very mono-chromatic.... I guess that's the result of coating everything in yellow curry powder!? Still, the texture was nice, the flavours were complimentary... and I was thoroughly impressed with this simple to make Vegan concoction.

All nice and neat in one little package!

Welcome to 'Jelly Bean Stew'...

As I become more Blog-Savvy, I welcome change.... and organization!

I'm a learn-er as I go-er. I don't tend to read the manual. Instead, I scratch my head for as long as it takes, and trial after trial, draft after draft.... I get there.

Here's my neat little package of blogs, with a nice little twine bow. Please explore!!
